Titha's Cottage Testimonials

Lynne & Family , September 2023

We have just returned from 7 nights at Titha’s cottage. Neither of us wanted to leave this morning as we have loved every minute. The cottage is spotlessly clean, very comfortable, everything is provided for guests and to a high standard. Communication with Pati was easy, she was quick to respond, very helpful and friendly. Her Facebook page is kept up to date with local / tourist information which is fab too. The best part has got to be the sea view though - outstanding! Especially first thing, I have some lovely pictures. Thank you to all who made our break fantastic!!!

Hamilton & Friend, September 2023

Dear Patricia, Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home . That provided all the necessary amenities one would require when on holiday. On that note, we would like to thank you for the Welcome Pack and the information about the places to visit in the Isle of Wight which was well appreciated.. We will surely re-book Titha's Cottage again.

Mark & Family , September 2023

We booked this cottage because of the pictures of the view. On arriving, the property has so much more to offer, spread over 3 floors, it really is a comfy place to stay. Boasting 2 toilets a shower and bath and one of the best equipped kitchens we have used. We had an issue using the tv on the first night and our host was on the end of the phone to help us sort our problem out. Our stay coincided we some of the warmest weather in years on the island and it was great to have the bifold doors open in the lounge and french doors in the bedroom to cool us down. As said previously, we spent a lot of time out on the balconies enjoying the views. This is probably in our top 3 of places to stay, also the Isle didn't disappoint either with lots to do and see.

Carole & Family, August 2023

I stayed at Titha’s cottage with my daughter, son-in-law & two grandchildren. The cottage is beautiful with a gorgeous view of the sea. It is excellently equipped with everything you need for your holiday. I would highly recommend it.

David & Family, August 2023

The perfect location for exploring the best parts of the island - We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Titha's cottage. It is a beautifully presented and well furnished property and the views from both front and rear of the property are exceptional. We found it to be in a perfect location for exploring our favorite parts of the island, Ventnor itself is a charming seaside town with lots of nice places to eat, the esplanade only takes 10 mins to walk to so all in all I cant fault anything. Highly recommended holiday rental.

Jason & Family, Juky 2023

Family holiday - Great location and beautiful property with views to die for from balcony.

Ruth & Family , May 2023

I spent a sunny week in May in Titha's cottage and absolutely loved it there. It's such a warm and welcoming place and benefits from beautiful views from all the principal rooms as well as the decks. Convenient location close to shops, beaches, walks, busses... and yet so quiet! The cottage is very well equipped, everything works, comfortable beds, very clean. Pati the owner was extremely helpful and generous when I had to change my departure date twice due to the train strikes - thank you again, Pati! Ventnor is a lovely little town, for me by far the best place on the island to stay. There are beautful walks and beaches nearby, but it's also easy to explore further afield by using the efficient bus network. I definitely hope to be able to stay in Titha's cottage again soon.

Alison & Family , August 2022

Yet another perfect stay at Titha's Cottage, home from home! I recently stayed at Titha's Cottage in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight, with my 3 boys. We had an amazing stay. Such a beautiful cottage, nestled into the cliffs at Ventnor. The sea views from both the balconies and the window in the top bedroom are stunning and something I will never tire looking at. The cottage itself was sparkling clean on arrival and has absolutely everything you could wish for (and more) from a self catering holiday. If you don't fancy cooking then don't worry as you are a stones throw away from child friendly cafes, restaurant's and pubs. The beach is small pebbles with lots of sand too. this is the second year we have booked Titha’s cottage and I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone wanting a holiday on the island.

Vicky & Family, August 2022

Very modern, comfortable, well equipped cottage with a panoramic view of the ocean. The location is in a very quiet road, a short walk from the town. it's on a steep hill so the walk down to the beach and back can be a little challenging.

Claire & Family, August 2022

The cottage is amazing, it had everything we could possibly need, the boys were very quick to find the cupboard full of toys, which we really weren't expecting! The view from the cottage was beautiful and we loved watching the boats! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have booked straight away for next year !

Zoe & Family , August 2022

We have had a lovely stay at the Isle of Wight. We stayed at Tithas’s for the week and Patti was a great host, cannot fault her or the property on any point. I stayed with my parents and two teenage girls. The house was clean and very well equipped. The location was great, gorgeous views out to sea with a choice of two balconies to sit. Although no specific parking with the property we didn’t have a problem. We either managed to find a space outside or I parked in the free carpark nearby after dropping the family outside the door (bit of a hill to walk from the free carpark). Titha’s is an easy short walk into the centre of Ventor where there are plenty of shops and eateries. Would highly recommend Titha’s to anyone looking to stay on the Isle.

Louise & Family, July 2022

A beautiful and perfect home from home - We were lucky enough to stay in Titha’s Cottage for 2 nights , and it surpassed all our expectations. The cottage was roomy, spotless clean , with quality interiors and furniture, and a kitchen I wish I had at home ! It had everything we could possibly need , and a view to die for! It was also perfectly located for both the beach and the quaint high street . Pati’s instructions were fantastic , and her recommendations were spot on! Special highlights were The Botanical Gardens , Steephill Cove, The Needles ,  Taverners for dinner and AJ’s Takeaway for fish and chips. Pati made sure our stay was special, and we have made amazing memories with our family. We can’t wait to come back!

Claire & Family, April 2022

Absolutely loved our stay at Tithas cottage. The house was extremely well equipped with everything you could possibly need and spotlessly clean. But the absolute best thing for us was sitting on the decking with a drink in hand and admiring the amazing view, we will certainly be back. Many thanks Patricia.

Ros & Family, September 2021

Lovely cottage with great views over the sea. Well appointed with pretty much everything you'd want and ideal for relaxing. Our host Patti could not have been more helpful. It is a short walk to the town centre with its interesting and quirky shops snd nice restaurants and straight down the steps for a quick dip (good exercise on the way back up). We would have no hesitation in recommending this to family and friends.

Zoe & Family, August 2021

We stayed at Titha's at the begining of the summer. We were looking for a relaxing getaway and we certainly got it at Titha's cottage.  It is an ideal location from which to visit all of the beautiful and varied sites that can be found on the Isle of Wight.  From museums to beaches, from adventure parks to natural beauty spots. There is so much to do ! The helpful guest manual at the cottage was an excellent resource for these activities, as well as the restaraunt recommendations and local advice.  In fact, the communication between host and guest was fantastic. The accomodation had absolutely everyhting you could possibly want / need and it was spotlessly clean. The icing on the cake was the spetacular view across the sea. We were a party of 5, aged between 6 and 81 years and we could not have been more comfortable or satisfied with our experience. A truly magical trip and a wonderful place to stay. We will be back!

Alison & Family, August 2021

We stayed at Titha's cottage as a family of 5 in August. This place is stunning. Homely and stylish. It has all you could possibly need for a holiday stay. The views are spetacular. It has two lovely balconies to enjoy it from. You are from walking distance from all the bars, restaurants and beach in Ventnor. Ventnor itself is a little gem. You can do lovely walks along the cliff, wander around the unique shops and there are bundles of family friendly cafes and restaurants. If you want to go further afield the island, sos all and anywhere is possible. We loved our holiday and we will defintely be booking a stay at Titha's cottage again.

Christine & Family, May 2021

We have really enjoyed our three stays at Titha's Cottage.  The view over the Channel is wonderful, as well as the sunrises.  The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable.  Ventnor is a charming place, and the location and the cottage make for the ideal relaxing break.

Louise & Family, August 2019

We had the most wonderful holiday, the house is so clean, modern, well equipped. It really has everything you could ever need. The views from both balcony's are breathtaking. Patti was so helpful and kind. We will be back for sure. Our new favourite place on the IOW.

Daniel & Family, August 2019

Small on the outside, spacious on the inside - Nestled in a row of terraced cottages on a Ventnor sidestreet, Titha's has been renovated and extended sympathetically and to a high standard. Not only will it sleep 6 people in comfort (providing two of them are happy in bunk beds) but there is ample living space too, with a sitting room (complete with log-burner), dining table and more seating space, overlooking the bay. The kitchen is fully-equipped with everything you could need for your stay, but the highlight has to be the decking, with fabulous sea views. And the shower comes a close second! It's perfectly positioned a 10 minute walk from the town centre, so you won't need to use your car, which is helpful, because parking in Ventnor can be challenging. On-street parking is very limited in the town, so we tend to leave our car towards the edge of town, where the houses have drives and the roads are less cluttered. This was our fourth trip to Ventnor (and fifth visit to the Isle of Wight as a family) and by far the best accommodation we've stayed in to date. We didn't need to contact the owner, but she was in regular text communication checking we were happy. Highly recommended - not the cheapest property in town, but excellent value. You won't be disapppointed.

Keith & Family, August 2019

Perfect Cottage with Sea Views - We stayed for a week in this lovely cottage in Ventnor & it was charming. Very clean and presentable. Recently renovated, it was perfect. Thanks for having us.

Rachel & Family , July 2019

We had a really lovely week exploring Ventnor and the coast from Titha’s Cottage. Perfectly located within the town on a quiet street, within easy reach of buses, shops, and the beach. The views from the balconies and bedrooms are truly spectacular— uninterrupted sea! The cottage is well-equipped, modern, and spacious. Good for adults as well as a family with kids.

Nick & Family , June 2019

The property has not only been fully refurbished to a high standard but has been wonderfully equipped with everything you could possibly need. The sea view is amazing and the outside decking gets all the morning and afternoon sun. We were very impressed and have already rebooked!

Bruno & Julia, September 2018

Peaceful sea views from a spacious modernised cottage - We had an absolutely fabulous holiday in this very nice cottage with lots of space , large kitchen/living room with sea view , clean and tidy bedrooms (sea views !) and bathroom. Excellent guidelines from the owners about the ins and outs of the cottage (rubbish collection , washing machine , etc). Very relaxing atmosphere and quiet environment. Ventnor itself is so-so, but the surrounding downs and undercliffs are fantastic . Best place and time to eat out is at lunch in one of the sea food shacks (eg in Stephill Cove). We liked our evenings in with self catering. Further afield from Ventnor , excellent walking and biking opportunities, and Compton Bay is not too far to go surfing if the weather is right . All in all a really great holiday and we will be back.

Joe & Family, July 2018

My family and I stayed at Titha's cottage for one week in July 2018. We were not disappointed! It was a 'home from home'. The cottage offered everything our family could ask for, the highlight being the amazing views of the sea. Patti has thought of EVERYTHING you would expect to find in your own home, which meant we had a very relaxing holiday! The place is spotless, the booking process easy and the information provided by Patti before our arrival was brilliant. Highly recommended and we look forward to coming back soon! thank you.

Paul & Family, June 2018

The cottage is well presented and in a great location with sea views. Despite no allocated parking we never had a problem parking nearby. Titha’s Cottage is in excellent condition and very well appointed with plenty of room for a large family. The welcome pack sets you up for your holiday. Ventnor and the surrounding area is beautiful and there are plenty of great family restaurants to try. My four year old loved the paddling pool on the seafront and other members of the family enjoyed local coastal walks. The customer service was excellent - Pati was very friendly and helpful from the initial enquiry until we arrived home. I would highly recommend this cottage for a great family holiday.

Lisa & Family, August 2017

We had a lovely stay at Titha's cottage. It is nicely furnished , well equipped and it was spotlessly clean on our arrival . The view of the sea from the veranda is beautiful and it is only a short walk down to the sea front.

Christine, August 2017

We have had a lovely week long holiday at Titha's cottage. The cottage itself is immaculately maintained and has everything you could possibly need. The kids also loved the toys, books and DVD's provided which kept them busy while we were sorting ourselves out for our many day trips. Ventnor is well located with only a short drive to lovely beaches at Shanklin and Sandown as well as great days out at the Needles, Arreton Craft Barns and the Donkey Sanctuary. Ventnor beach is also great and only a short walk away. We had a few great meals in family friendly pubs, the Spyglass Inn in Ventnor being one of them. We would love to return to the Isle of Wight in the future, and we will certainly hope that Titha's cottage is available to accommodate us! Thank you.

Cheung Family, August 2017

Delightful cottage in a beautiful location. Deceptive size which is huge inside and more than adequate for a family of 4-5. Very clean and modern and fully equipped with everything you would need for a self-catering holiday. Woke up everyday to uninterrupted sea views and the south facing patio had a full day of light (early July) which we were able to enjoy in the evenings when we returned from our day trips. Location is perfect as away from noise of main town yet near enough to walk to the shops and beaches. The steep back route down to Wheelers Bay and to Ventnor Beach is definitely recommended for the more energetic with rewarding views to the sea as is the further walk down to Steephill Cove. Best crab pasties we have ever tried! The bottle of wine and biscuits were a pleasant surprise and the efficient communication from Patti made the holiday even better. Would definitely recommend this to others and we would love to stay again when we return to IOW. Thank you!

Williams Family, June 2017

This cottage was a good size and very modern, lovely views and not overlooked - facing the sea where many large ships & cruise liners pass from Southampton. It is ideal for a relaxing holiday without a car as you are able to walk down very close steps to the beach or down the road to Ventnor town itself. The house is also close to bus stops to visit further afield. The cottage itself is very homely with a very good kitchen and brilliant shower. The terrace is a highlight and gets the sun from early morning to late afternoon (May). Weather always seems to be good in the Isle of Wight spring/summer and our week was no exception. The owner was very accommodating and helpful during our stay, we only had a small issue with the deposit which didn't seem to be automatically refunded but the owner was able to sort this out within hours. In summary a great little cottage in a good location.

Philliips Family, September 2016

We had the most wonderful holiday at Titha's cottage. From the moment we stepped inside, we were wowed. More than we could have wished for with comfortable beds, well maintained, lovely decor and all the comforts of home. We had amazing weather so were able to enjoy all meals al fresco while enjoying the amazing sea view. Amenities were within walking distance and great for young people but my husband and I found walking back from the seafront a bit hard going. The week wasn't long enough to do all the exploring of this beautiful island. Found a lovely cafe at Bonchurch by the Pond, the Garlic Farm was excellent but if you want lunch, book a table as it is very popular. Our 6yr old granddaughter loved the activities. The Ale & Oyster on Ventnor seafront is an excellent place to eat for a special meal. We had excellent service from the owner and a lovely touch to be greeted with wine and chocolates. We would recommend to friends and relatives and  despite the steep walk up, we would love to go back.

Rachel & Family, August 2016

We've recently returned from our holiday in Titha's Cottage and we couldn't have been happier with our choice of accommodation. The cottage is beautifully presented and was immaculately clean. It was well equipped with everything you could wish for making it feel like 'home from home'. It comfortably accommodated myself and my husband, our 3 year old boys and our teenage daughter. The icing on the cake was the amazing sea views from the terrace at the back. Opening the blinds every morning to look out to blue sea and sky was pure pleasure (we were fortunate to have great weather). The cottage is well situated in Ventnor- only a short walk into town. It took a little longer to get to the beach but my 3 year old boys could walk there happily with the promise of sand to play on at the end. Patti was great - quick to respond making sure we had all the information we needed before we arrived. The information provided in the cottage was also very helpful. If you're looking to stay in Ventnor I couldn't recommend Titha's cottage enough. Thank you for our wonderful stay.

Kirk Family, August 2016

Titha's cottage is the perfect place to stay! The standard that everything has been done to cannot be faulted and everywhere was spotlessly clean and tidy. The kitchen is very well equipped, everything works as it should and all rooms are airy and comfortable. Owners have thought of everything! Ventnor was a lovely place to stay. If you are reading these comments wondering whether to book a holiday at this cottage...do! You will not be disappointed.

Walker Family, June 2016

We had a lovely week in the IOW - our third consecutive year! Titha's Cottage provided a great base to explore and the accommodation was excellent. Very clean and well presented throughout with great views. I would definitely recommend the house. Thank you :)

Lock Family, April 2016

What a beautiful place to stay . We have loved every minute staying at this picturesque cottage ! Perfectly kitted out , stunning views in a calm environment . Everything you need as a family. Can't wait to re book the next visit .

Susan & Family, September 2015

This cottage has all you could possibly need for a great holiday on IOW. The cottage is to a very high standard and the views from the balconies are stunning. We will definitely be returning and would highly recommend it. The communication between myself and Patricia, the owner, was excellent and ensured everything was expertly arranged for our holiday. Looking forward to a return visit in future.

Sarah & Family, September 2015

Our stay was at short notice. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for the weekend. The cottage is beautifully presented, and has absolutely everything you need. The sea views from the patios are wonderful, all we needed was better weather!! The travel cot was set up ready for us, and our 8 year old mentioned her cosy bunk bed. Plenty of games and DVDs are provided for a variety of tastes which was really useful for a very wet Sunday morning.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to make breakfast, lunch and dinner for a family, along with plenty of cups and glasses so that you aren't constantly washing up! Thanks Patti for your attention to detail - will love to return.

Shazia & Family, August 2015

The cottage was just perfect for the 4 of us. We all fell in love with the views from the moment we walked in. I would say that we are particularly fussy customers who are not easy to please but Titha's cottage did really exceed all expectations. It was walking distance from the local shops and beach and was perfectly placed for trips around the island. The owners were very accommodating. The only issue for us was the lack of parking outside which is why I have given it an overall 4 stars. I would still (and have already!) recommend to friends and family.

Natasha & Family, August 2015

What a lovely cottage, it's got everything you need for a holiday, and beautifully furnished. Very clean and wow what amazing sea views from both the balcony leading from the kitchen/diner and the one leading from the master bedroom. Thank you again.

Lucy & Family, August 2015

We couldn’t have been happier with our choice to stay in Titha's Cottage. The cottage is beautifully decorated, extremely clean and Pati and Garry have made sure that there is everything you could possibly need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The views from the terrace are breathtaking and there is nothing quite like having a glass of wine looking out into the ocean. It is ideally located in a quiet street and minutes away from the shops and beaches. It was a perfect base for us and our two boys to visit all the sites. We will definitely be returning and would not hesitate in recommending this beautiful property.

Phil  & Family, July 2015

A hidden gem with beautiful views - We were nothing short of pleased with our last minute find on the island. Despite seeing the pictures and description before arrival we could not have been prepared to walk into such a cleverly refurbished fisherman's cottage. The home itself was very light and modern and had everything we needed during our stay. Not to mention the breathtaking views! Everything was thought of and the owners were extremely friendly and accomodating. Ventnor itself is also a lovely place to stay with great food and its own microclimate. Our two children had the best time here at the cottage and were sad to leave (as were the adults!) We will definitely be coming back!
